Asbestos
Relevant to commercial properties only, there is a duty to manage asbestos
under The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006.
Prior to any repair or rebuilding
it is necessary to determine whether or not asbestos is present. If this cannot be
done due to the lack of an asbestos register, then a specialist survey must be undertaken
to include the taking and testing of samples and the completion of a definitive report.
This
will ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements designed to protect people
from exposure to asbestos. CSS is able to advise building owners as to their legal
